Notes to this poem…
That’s pretty minimal interaction considering how far stars in the universe tend to be from each other, aside from some binary and other systems of them. Even the relatively close ones have little interaction by gravity despite the strong gravity of each near its surface. I had just been having one of those weeks where I had my life focused on a lot of solo time activity outside of work and was feeling that way.
Strange how stars in the universe have such sparse interactions with others of their kind, while stars of the human kind could not be more different in that aspect, as much as they might like their privacy.
The T-series poems are tanka composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Tanka collection.
