Notes to this poem…

As referenced in Tanka 141 written almost 6 months ago, I met a person with a laugh I would have found annoying in others, rather charming because everything else I knew about her at the time (which wasn’t a lot) made it attractive to me. Six months on, I know a lot more of everything else about her, which, while not unattractive, no longer renders that laugh so attractive. Now I just need to make sure I can still enjoy that laugh like other laughs, and not get annoyed by it. 🙂

The T-series poems are tanka composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Tanka collection.
