Harbourwalk Poem W007

My most treasured possessions –
Are more digital –
Than material

Notes to this poem…

Totally true. I can buy material stuff lost. Some things like marathon medals I can’t gain again I have digital pictures of. But work like poetry and blog posts, I have backed up in many locations because those thoughts and feelings, I can never recapture. And I couldn’t care less how few people do or ever read them.

Pictures are also all digital these days.

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, in 2018, when the Seabridge was in place.
