Harbourwalk Poem W084

Patio diners –
Wrapped in red blankets –
Freezing from the summer cold

Copyright by Minh Tan on listed dated of completion.

Notes to this poem…

It was low single digits Celsius that evening, or at least with windchill. Yet, for the sake of summer and being out, albeit not technically summer yet, people froze themselves outside the Bicycle Thief restaurant to dine outdoors in said provided red blankets.

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, in 2018, when the Seabridge was in place.
