Spot the escort night –
On the crowded Harbourwalk –
Many out tonight!
Had no clue the industry
Was so big in Halifax

Notes to this poem…

There seems to be an industry, if you know where to look, though I have never sought to see if any of it were real. A lot of old men really touchy feely with really young women from what I saw tonight, and I’m willing to bet a lot would not be of your traditional and committed couples relationship type for love, or even just lust without financial / material incentives.

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, during the warmer months of 2018 & 2019, when the Seabridge was in place.
