Harbourwalk Poem W268

Thousands of crickets –
Chirping to be noticed not
By other crickets –
But rather by some humans –
Seeking crickets to play with

Notes to this poem…

Same people as mentioned in previous poem in a local “community” looking for a partner or partners. They’re a bit messed up, not in activities they want to engage in but in terms of having their lives together and prioritizing properly to get some control of it. They want someone whose life isn’t messed up like theirs, willing to tolerate someone with lives messed up like theirs  just for the sake of having someone to play with… at least that’s what they said cause their actions didn’t support their words. But what should I have been expecting, right?

Observations from an objective guy leading a mostly mainstream life because that’s all he can in conservative Nova Scotia.

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, during the warmer months of 2018 & 2019, when the Seabridge was in place.
