Harbourwalk Poem W277

Instead of socialism –
Can we just call it –

Notes to this poem…

People who react strongly against socialism seem to think of it as bad for capping growth on people. However, I see its potential as more as way to distribute resources more evenly, with any sort of cap being so high pretty much anybody except the insecure about their status would be able to get enough from to enjoy a pretty darn high status of living. That’s why I suggest that form be called “compassionism”, because that’s what it’s all about

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, during the warmer months of 2018 & 2019, when the Seabridge was in place.
