Big Lift Ferry Poem F394

Angry clouds stormed into town –
Dumped all their rain and
Floated out calmer

Notes to this poem…

Sudden thunderstorm.

The Big Lift bridge redecking project that had caused me to take the ferry often, and inspired me to occupy my ferry ride time with short poem writing, had been officially done for quite a while before this poem was written. However, it’s not completely done as there are still the rare, intermittent closures, to do parts related to the purpose of the project that weren’t considered part of the project. I rarely to go Dartmouth these days, as it were (or come back), so chances of that coinciding with the MacDonald bridge closure to have to force me to take the ferry, and compose a few more of these poems, is even rarer. However, whenever that does happen, I will write some and add whatever sparse numbers may be left to write for this collection.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
