Big Lift Ferry Poem F404

‘Til pouring rain came –
‘Twas a beautiful sunset –
But now the rain’s gone –
Sunset’s beautiful again –
Switching to ferry for view

Notes to this poem…

Well, ain’t this the poem of apostrophes to shorten all kinds of words! I had taken the bus over and had to take the ferry back. Hence, the “switching of views” in the poem.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
