Harbourwalk Poem W356

I’d clean up after
Just about any species –
Other than human –
Despite me not knowing what
Messes those species may make

Notes to this poem…

We humans are just gross! I pity all the people who have to clean after us anywhere. That’s why I try to leave parts I used of places I visit, from bathrooms to hotels, as clean as I can. That sometimes means cleaner than when I found it and cleaned it up before I used it.

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, during the warmer months of 2018 & 2019, when the Seabridge was in place.
