Humans can get attached to –
Any living thing –
Or non-living thing

Notes to this poem…

Inspired by an article I read about people preferring to have robots for lovers rather than humans, but also adults obsessed over inanimate things they animate in their minds, the way many children animate inanimate toys to be animate beings in their minds. Our human imagination is really something else!

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, during the warmer months of 2018 & 2019, when the Seabridge was in place.
