Inspired by this CBC interview of an apology expert,Harriet Lerner, a clinical psychologist and author of Why Won’t You Apologize? Healing Big Betrayals and Everyday Hurts, on how Justin Trudeau apologizes, who said

“I heard the prime minister say that he fully accepts responsibility but that he’s not sorry; he didn’t do anything wrong. So we call that a sorry-not-sorry.”

And combined with Canadians’ well-known global reputation for being “sorry” a lot in being so polite. 🙂
