A digital picture’s worth
Tens of millions
Of digital words

Notes to this poem…

Compared to the written word, a picture was worth a thousand words. Compared to code for digital pictures, which are always getting larger with more pixels and codes, and the relatively compact form of text as code, digital pictures are worth far, far more than a thousand words.

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, during the warmer months of 2018 & 2019, when the Seabridge was in place.
