Harbourwalk Poem W385

Removed Halifax
As my hometown on Facebook –
And left it blank as –
I don’t feel I belong here –
Not sure where I feel I do

Notes to this poem…

Sad state of my current life, and the symbolic gesture I made to note it tangibly in my life to acknowledge it formally to begin to make the changes I need… whatever they might be. But at least I’m starting with this acknowledgement.

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, during the warmer months of 2018 & 2019, when the Seabridge was in place.
