One Stanza Poem O190

Wouldn’t it be nice –
If we turned blond –
Instead of grey –
As we grew old?
‘Tis but a shade away

Notes to this poem…

Just a thought looking at my image in my apartment’s floor to ceiling window, watching the start of Hurricane Dorian as it hits my city of Halifax. Don’t ask me from where the thought came. It’s too quick and rare an event, with needs to prepare even while it’s happening, for me to start a poetry collection written during then. Maybe much later, if I should decide to retire in the Bahamas or something. Not Florida, though. Not my kind of country.

The O-series of poems are one stanza poems composed before I got onto writing haiku and tanka, and short poetry while in action or traveling by select means like plane or ferry. These poems are 3-9 lines long with at least one rhyming couplet, and not of the short forms just mentioned. For the sake of elegance, I just called the collection One.
