Notes to this poem…

Wrote this one at night walking while listening to a podcast, so there aren’t many on this walk. However, the beautiful reflection of a quarter moon or so up high in the sky, on to Halifax Harbour to leave a brightly lit area (the part that reflected to my eyes), made it look like another island. And what a beautiful sight it was!

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, during the warmer months of 2018 & 2019, when the Seabridge was in place.
