Harbourwalk Poem W392

In dating profiles –
A lot of people write that
They “like to travel” –
I just write “I travel” cause
Unlike most – I can – and do!

Notes to this poem…

Yes, all these people who “like to travel”. It’s a bit of wishful thinking for them, sadly. They do like it, but it’s not that important for them to work to do it more often than the rare instance, aside from little road trips that isn’t really “traveling” to me. Seems to me their idea of “like to travel” is just to get out of their city or town to something nearby, not really traveling much farther than that which I associate with “travel”. Disappointing, to say the least!

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, during the warmer months of 2018 & 2019, when the Seabridge was in place.
