Harbourwalk Poem W399

Sometimes feel insane –
In a way that’s socially
Unacceptable –
I have my life together –
Which makes me acceptable

Notes to this poem…

I sometimes wonder if people look back at all the things I do in life, if some may thing I was insane, as in somewhere towards medically insane rather than the general expression of crazy, or confusing term of angry sort of mad. Heck, I sometimes think I’m insane!

But alas, I have my life SO together that no one would ever diagnose me with insanity. I get along with lots of people, for starters, and have no temper. Even if medically insane, society just wouldn’t accept me as insane… which might devalue all of my artistic work lol.

Be careful what you wish for!

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, during the warmer months of 2018 & 2019, when the Seabridge was in place.
