Notes to this poem…

At less than five minutes each, of huge interest to me, and with the system gamified where you get points for videos watched as you progressed, I have managed to sneak in art videos from the breath-taking learning platform called Khan Academy in all parts of my life. I watch one when I get a snack, when I first get up, when I go to bed, along with a little dedicated time each day to learn art history for my artistic development.

Most recently, I have realized those videos are short enough that I could sneak in one, maybe even two if I find short ones or am captivated enough, while I sit on the toilet! Now THAT, is what I call making good use of time!

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, during the warmer months of 2018 & 2019, when the Seabridge was in place.
