Notes to this poem…
I wrote this song in response to how terrible Nova Scotians did in the first few weeks of Google Mobility reports for staying at home (change weekly report date to March 29 and April 5 to see), despite the Premier’s viral plea to #staytheblazeshome! We improved drastically, due to a few government tightening of things, this week so this is not as applicable any more, but why waste a bad poem, write? lol
It’s a parody of the famous tune Where Have All the Flowers Gone?
I will sing this if we slip back to worst or near worst, and put it online! Likely not since idiots in many US states are out protesting in crowds, of all things, so they’re not staying at home. And as places “re-open” ahead of Nova Scotia, whose daily new cases total is still rising as of today, they will also be staying at home less than we will. But I’ll analyze that and maybe get someone else who sings better to sing it if we slip back to old ways to some significant extent. There is absolute statistics as well as relative ones, you know! 🙂
