Notes to this poem…

I was writing essays for a short book on quotes I had written for myself over the years. Then came a downpour outside on a humid night when I had my windows open. Listening to it and my own furious typing, I had the realization in the haiku above.

The H-series poems comprise of haiku composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Haiku collection.
