Notes to this poem…

There is a well known English idiom about a picture being worth a thousand words. I’ve always agreed wholeheartedly, with that value being an average, of course. However, I’ve almost questioned the inverse about what the value of a word is in terms of pictures… on average, of course. That may be an easy mathematical problem, in theory, if you were to put it into an equation. However, I don’t think the math would work well for reality, which is why I put it into a haiku, or at least poetic format if you only believed haiku should only be of the traditional format for content.

Anybody want to take a guess? I don’t have an answer or a guess, but that’s why it keeps this thought fun as a source of everlasting wonder any of the rare times I am lacking something to wonder about.

More poems to follow on this topic and source of wonderment for me.

The R-series poems were composed while I was out running, in an effort to find time for writing in a life that is always getting busier.
