Is cleaning just transferring –
Dirtiness from one
Place to another?

Notes to this poem…
The Rejected Poems comprise of poems composed for poetry competitions, alone or as parts of collections, which I rejected for whatever reasons, and which I didn’t foresee being used for future competitions. Their publication on this blog ensures that since competition entries cannot have been published elsewhere, including online.
This was my haikued version of some thoughts in a meme I saw online about what is really happening when you’re supposedly “cleaning”, in that you’re not really cleaning anything. The poem was intended for a collection of haiku to make the reader wonder from the questions asked, but from which I rejected this poem because I knew I could do better with not only original content, but deeper questions.
