Running Poem R094

Charging into gale –
Slowing and rising ’til stopped –
Floating for minutes –
In equilibrium with
Jet stream until blown away

Notes to this poem…

I love watching seagulls do this on really windy days in Halifax harbour, or even in the city way up high sometimes. I first came up with this on a really windy day at the end of February, and finished it on a really windy day today, near the end of March, when I saw seagulls at it again and was reminded of this poem. I could only wish I could play this game!

The R-series poems were composed while I was out running, in an effort to find time for writing in a life that is always getting busier.
