Waves emigrating from shore
Not immigrating
Flowing with the wind

Notes to this poem…

There are days in Halifax Harbour and in the Northwest Arm that meets it, when the wind blows out and is strong enough that the waves flow out instead of in, looking really counterintuitive because one normally think of ocean waves as flowing into shore, not away from it.

The R-series poems were composed while I was out running, in an effort to find time for writing in a life that is always getting busier.
