Notes to this poem…

From a winter evening run where I was in Point Pleasant Park when I wasn’t supposed to, because there is no lighting after dark. However, a full moon meant I wasn’t the only one who had wandered in. Still, it was dark enough that it would have been hard to see where to run safely, with snow on the ground making it slippery. The moon in the sky did light up the park a bit, but really, it showed me the way where I should have ran in being able to see where the snow had been compressed, rather than just run in the lit path and hills and otherwise barren areas all around.

The R-series poems were composed while I was out running, in an effort to find time for writing in a life that is always getting busier.
