Running Poem R102

No one in park
No one in sight
This winter night
Just the full moon
A snowy world
And I
Existed

Notes to this poem…

Began on a run in late January beneath a full moon, I stopped and took off my earbuds playing music when I realized I couldn’t see anyone in a clearing by the ocean harbour in Point Pleasant Park where I had been running after dark. It was a surreal experience and feeling as if I was the only person left on the snowy Earth, with the full moon being my only “companion”. That it was just “us”. And I loved it!

The R-series poems were composed while I was out running, in an effort to find time for writing in a life that is always getting busier.
