Who aspire and achieve –
And you, too –
Will aspire and achieve

Notes to this poem…
Some people think that when you surround yourself with high aiming and achieving people, it can crush you because you compare yourself and fall short. I don’t believe that is true at all. That’s because people who aim high and achieve, tend to be kind and caring to help others. They know what it means to get help and/or be inspired by others. They know they didn’t get there on their own and so they turn around and return the gift to others to help them achieve. There are always high achievers to aren’t exactly the nicest of people, but you know, the truth about them is that they’re really underachievers. For all they might be, they could have been so much more if they had only been nicer to have helped others along the way. They’re also likely to fall spectacularly.
The O-series of poems are one stanza poems composed before I got onto writing haiku and tanka, and short poetry while in action or traveling by select means like plane or ferry. These poems are 3-9 lines long with at least one rhyming couplet, and not of the short forms just mentioned. For the sake of elegance, I just called the collection One.
