At the full moon from dockyards –
No ships to unload

Notes to this poem…

There are four giant steel cranes in the shipyard next to Point Pleasant Park in Halifax, looking skyward like biological cranes might if standing still and looking up at the full moon. That was my thought in seeing this site while running in January. I only wish I had a smart phone on me to have taken that picture. Perhaps on some other full moon when it gets dark earlier in the evenings again, and the sky is clear, I’ll remember to bring a phone and get such a picture on a run.

The R-series poems were composed while I was out running, in an effort to find time for writing in a life that is always getting busier.
