Skating Poem S051

Elsewhere in the world –
Literally –
In a word –
Legendary –
Roger Federer –
Keeps getting better –
Another Aussie Open Slam –
To solidify his claim –
On the greatest ever I am!

Notes to this poem…

Everybody seem to be flipping out about some guy who hacked his way to the POTUS position. That’s great, cause it saves me from having to make everybody aware, and stressing myself over it.

But there’s a lot of great things happening I can share for those who aren’t paying attention and might want to know. Roger Federer just won another tennis Grand Slam in beating Rafael Nadal in the 2017 Australian Open to help his case for the greatest player ever, at the age of 35, coming back from a serious injury and fighting through more recent injuries earlier in the tournament. This is my tribute to him and his victory, on my mind during my Sunday morning skate on the Oval today.

The S-series poems were composed while I was out skating on the Halifax Emera Skating Oval, to squeeze in writing time in a life that is always getting busier.
