The Rejected Poems comprise of poems composed for poetry competitions, alone or as parts of collections, which I rejected for whatever reasons, and which I didn’t foresee being used for future competitions. This was my haikued version of some thoughts I saw from a meme online about what the true meaning, and possibly origin, of the word breakfast. The poem was intended for a collection of haiku to make the reader wonder from the questions asked, but from which I rejected this poem because I knew I could do better with not only original content, but deeper questions.
