Women I might want to date –
Zero interest –

This conservative province

Notes to this poem…

It’s all about being an Asian male older than millennial. No interest. Other experiments I had done on Perfect Match, where you could screen out people based on race, had 6 of 7 women in my dating age range who weren’t interested in Asian males. All eventually got matched up by the system to a Caucasian profile that was practically identical aside for race, and text description that only had same key words like “running”, “government job”, etc.

This was this year’s experiment to explore similar themes. At least last year, there were a few really low quality candidates interested. None this year where I swiped right on every candidate just to see how many might have swiped right on me for a match. Zero this year.

Welcome to traditional Nova Scotia.

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, during the warmer months of 2018 & 2019, when the Seabridge was in place.
