Harbourwalk Poem W302

Before the sunrise–
Watching pre-dawn scenery –
On airport bus ride –
Instead of getting some much
Needed shut eye from short sleep

Notes to this poem…

On way to airport from before 5 AM to 6 AM, I had very little sleep the night before despite trying to go to bed earlier than my usual midnight. However, the pre-dawn sky was too beautiful to ignore since I very rarely get to see it, and on days when there were little cloud to create a beautiful horizon. Viewed from a bus to the airport, not me driving to fall asleep, lol.

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, during the warmer months of 2018 & 2019, when the Seabridge was in place.
