Harbourwalk Poem W375

I’d be really good–
At being evil –
Except for this conscience thing

Notes to this poem…

I come up with a LOT of ideas in life. Just look at all the topics among these several thousand poems over the years that are random thoughts I have mostly. While I try to focus on ideas for some good value, they’re not always like that. Ideas will come out of wherever they do, and many are ideas that are less than good for humanity.

The good thing about all these evil ideas I have, especially from hearing bad news stories (and there are plenty of those) and thinking about what else might or might have been done for a future iteration, is that I stop myself from thinking more, or even following up on, those ideas. I have a pretty huge conscience compared to what I see among humanity. Let’s hope I never lose it, intentionally like through feelings or irrational reasoning, or intentionally like brain damage from illness or injury that you sometimes see in people.

The W-series poems comprise mostly of haiku or tanka composed during walks I took on the portion of Halifax’s waterfront known as the Harbourwalk, during the warmer months of 2018 & 2019, when the Seabridge was in place.
