Today, October 21, 2015, is the date to which characters in the 1985 movie Back to the Future time traveled. There are memes going around saying how after this date, everything in that movie will have been in the past, with many who saw that movie then still alive today to see the projected date (and world) come to pass.

Well, it so happened that Justin Trudeau, son of former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau, was elected Prime Minister of Canada himself just a few days ago. Once again, Canada has a Trudeau family member as Prime Minister, just like in the past. And it so happened that it’s Justin time for Back to the Future Day! In this situation, though, it’s a bit more like “fast forward to the past” rather than “back to the future”, so to speak. We went forward from Pierre Elliot Trudeau’s days and we have his son as Prime Minister.

I recognized the irony and decided to document it in this little poem.
