Big Lift Ferry Poem F352

My mind wanders far –
More easily than my heart –
But there exists those –
With a heart that wanders far –
More easily than their mind

Notes to this poem…

About a month prior to the writing of this poem, I wrote one (F326) about how I wished my feelings were as fleeting in the wind as my thoughts. That is true, but today, I finished the thought to give some context I already knew about people, in that some people have their hearts wander far more easily than their minds, towards any number of things for which one can have feelings. 🙂

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
